Meet the Owner

   I think I was born to be in the scrap business. I know it sounds a little corny, but it seems like it happens a lot in the scrap business. My grandfather and my father both spent their entire working careers in the metal recycling industry. With the exception of a few years in the trucking business, I have spent most of my life in the metal recycling industry as well.

   Dad taught me how to cut with a torch when I was 10 and my first paid job was cutting the grass at Allied Scrap in Indianapolis when I was 12. I've never really wanted anything more than to own a scrap yard. It took 34 years and some bouncing around at some other companies, but I learned a lot about how to treat people. I hope I can take all of the lessons I've learned and pass them on to the next  generation of Men of Steel.
